A wet scrubber is designed to remove water-soluble and coarse dust and particle pollutants in exhaust gases. It moves pollutants in exhaust gases to liquids by exposing the former to the latter. Pollutants are isolated from exhaust gases into the washing solution in two ways: the fine dust and particulate pollutants by humidification and gravity or inertial force while gaseous ones by turbulent flow and molecular mass.
